弟兄姊妹平安，
「教會唯一的根基，乃是我主基督。」這首詩歌表達了基督徒對基督和教會的信念。基督徒不是單打獨鬥的人，乃是群居聚集組成教會，是基督寶血買贖回來的新婦，是要見證那救我們出黑暗入奇妙光明者的美德。
是哪一個教會引導我們決志信主，從來不是我們的決定。在哪一個教會受浸，公開表白信仰，見證我們的重生得救，也不是絕對地順理成章的事。但一個傳福音的教會必然會領人歸主，也必會定期舉行浸禮，見證「這福音本是神的大能，要救一切相信的人。」
教會是永生神的家，在地上為主作鹽作光。魔鬼撒但在末日垂死掙扎中，誓要破壞教會的生命力。一個不發光的教會，必被主從燈台挪去。舉目西方眾多破落的教堂，給了我們嚴厲的警告。
海外華人教會的信徒來自不同地域、文化和背景；各自在信主之前都有不同的過去和經歷，卻是一致地回應耶穌基督救贖的呼召而聚在一起，為的是要我們「同心合意，興旺福音」。就讓我們所作的一切，別無可誇，只誇「耶穌基督並祂釘十字架」。
讓我們相約在每一個記念主復活的日子，見證祂的慈愛和大能，同心合意敬拜主。

‘The Church’s one foundation is Jesus Christ, our Lord.’ This hymn has expressed Christian’s conviction in Christ and the Church. Christians are not alone, but are gathered together to be a church. We are the bride redeemed by the blood of Christ, who declare the praises of Him who called us out of darkness into His wonderful light.
It was never our decision to choose which church leads us to Christ, nor which church we are baptized and publicly confess our faith. But a church that shares the gospel will inevitably lead people to the Lord, and will also regularly hold baptisms to testify that “this gospel is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.”
The Church of the living God is God’s household, to be salt and light on the earth for the Lord. Satan is clutching at straws in the last days, vowing to destroy the vitality of the Church. A church that does not glow will be removed from the lampstand by the Lord. The many abandoned churches in the West has given us a severe warning. Christians of overseas Chinese churches come from all corners of the world, with different cultures and backgrounds. Each has their own past and experiences before believing in the Lord, but we are united in response to the call of Jesus Christ and ‘strive together as one for the faith of the gospel’. Let us resolve to boast nothing but “Jesus Christ and Him crucified.”
Let us meet every Sunday to remember the Lord’s resurrection, witnessing His love and power and worshipping the Lord as one.
