親愛的弟兄姊妹平安:
六月四日, 一個陰雨的日子, 史雲斯華人基督教會的弟兄姊妹和天鵝苑的長者們專程來卡迪夫, 跟廣東話部的弟兄姊妹共度「南威團契日」。我們在每年的互訪中進深認識, 分享情誼, 在神的愛中, 我們一同唱歌, 一起遊戲, 相互祝福: 身體健康, 日日快樂, 永遠平安; 並一齊用餐。
我非常欣賞一眾弟兄姊妹各自站在不同的崗位上, 各按恩賜服事。服事人的就是服事神, 愛神的人必然愛人。
感謝神, 又下雨了! 農夫耕種, 既要修理, 又要施肥灌溉, 忙早忙晚, 每天都在忙碌, 用勤勞形容農夫, 當之無愧! 植物需要陽光, 也需要雨水。我喜歡陽光, 也喜歡雨水。合掌瓜和南瓜的瓜苗終於在大地上站穩了, 慢慢地長出了更多的葉子。
上星期主日崇拜的經文提及「量器的異象」。這量器 (Ephah)的名稱既是容量單位伊法, 也是容量器皿。路得與拿俄米在窮途末路中離開摩押返回故鄉伯利恆, 正是動手割大麥的日子, 路得在田間拾取麥穗, 直到晚上, 將所拾取的打了, 約有一伊法的大麥, 路得盛載麥子的器皿就是一伊法的量器。本是佳美的形象, 卻在撒加利亞先知的異象中成了惡人遍地的形狀, 滿載罪惡, 何其痛心! 大地虛假當道, 邪惡橫行, 醜態百出, 到了惡貫滿盈之日, 神必動手挪走, 抬它回到自己的地方去。
舉目觀看飛行的書卷, 懸浮的量器, 讓我們承認罪惡, 認識罪惡, 並要對付罪惡。

Dear brothers and sisters,
The 4th of June was a rainy day. Brothers and sisters from the Swansea CCC and some elderly from the Swansea Elderly Home came to Cardiff to have fellowship with the Cantonese group. We meet annually to renew fellowship. We sang and played games and blessed each other to have good health, happiness and peace every day. Then we had lunch together.
I very much appreciate brothers and sisters serving in different roles according to their gifts. Serving people is serving God, and whoever loves God will love other people.
Praise the Lord for the rain. Farmers work diligently day and night to look after the vegetation. Plants need sunlight and rain. I love sunlight, and I love rain. The seedlings have finally stood firm and grown new leaves.
We talked about ‘the vision of the basket’ in the last Sunday’s Service. This basket (Ephah) is a capacity unit, and a capacity vessel. When Ruth and Naomi went back to Bethlehem from Moab in distress, the barley harvest was beginning. Ruth gleaned in the field until the evening. Then she threshed the barley she had gathered, and it amounted to about an ephah. The vessel she used was an ephah. It’s a beautiful scene, but here in the vision in Zechariah, it became a picture of iniquity and wickedness all over the land. How heart-breaking it is! The earth has become a place of bogus, filled with wickedness, falsehood replaces truth. The sins of the earth are inexpiable, the Lord will remove it and set it back to its place.
Looking at the flying scroll and the floating basket, let us confess our sins, understand our sins, and deal with our sins.
