親愛的弟兄姊妹平安 :
聖經中「死亡」的含義，不單是身體的死而消逝，更是靈魂的死與神隔絕，永遠在罪惡的刑罰中受苦，今生如此，永恆如是。唯獨與主同死、同埋葬、同復活的人，主耶穌不單破解了我們心靈罪惡的枷鎖，更帶領我們脫離魔鬼的權勢，應許我們進入永恆的國度。這從塵土而來的軀殼，是必朽壞的就成為不朽壞的；這從人意而來的身體，就從羞辱的成了榮耀的。
既有耶穌道成肉身，為我們死、埋葬、死而復活，成就了救恩；我們信靠主的人就得了復活的確據，這今生今世的身體，就不再是苦惱愁煩的臭皮囊，乃是神奇妙大能的創造。當人活在基督裏，他就是新造的人。今生今世所在的天地，就不再是紅塵俗世，乃是「這是天父世界」。一花一草的物質宇宙，是神所創造；血肉之軀的我們，也在神的創造和計劃中，連於永恆的主，就得了永生，就是豐盛的人生。
基督耶穌為我們成了初熟的果子。認識了耶穌，我們的人生不再為個人的前程迷惘，而是確信父神的應許；不再為世界的動盪失望，而是盼望主的再來；不再冷漠面對人群，而是得着聖靈的火焰，燃燒心靈，熱愛生命，享受有使命的人生。
復活主日的浸禮崇拜，有六位新葡公開作見證信靠耶穌，藉着洗禮加入教會，在眾人的面前踏入浸池中，表明舊人與主同死、同埋葬，並從水裏上來，表明新人與基督同復活。舊人舊事已成歷史，新人新生在每天的蛻變中。另有八位信徒從友會轉會加入教會，14位弟兄姊妹都是我們代禱的守望對象。他們是我們同走天路的夥伴，齊心建造神家的同工，一起打仗的同袍，更是我們彼此相愛的肢體。「我們愛，因為神先愛我們。」約一4:8
主啊！唯願我們與你同死、與你同埋葬、與你同復活，披戴基督，活出神兒女的樣式！

Dear brothers and sisters,
The “death” in the Bible is not only the death of the body but also the death of the spirit which is separated from God, suffering eternally in the punishment of sin. But for those who have died, buried and resurrected with the Lord, Jesus does not only save them from the bondage of sin and the power of Satan, but also promise them the Heavenly Kingdom. The perishable will become imperishable; the shame from the lustful body will become glorified.
The Word Jesus became flesh and died for us, was buried, and rose from the dead to fulfil salvation; we who believe in the Lord have the assurance of resurrection, and this body becomes a wonderful creation of God. If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. This earth is no longer a mortal world, but “this is the Father’s world.” The whole universe and everything in it were created by God. When the flesh is connected to the Eternal Lord, they have eternal and abundant life.
Christ Jesus has become the firstfruit for us. Knowing Jesus, we’ll no longer get lost about the future, but have faith in the promise of God; we’ll no longer be disappointed by the world, but hope for the return of the Lord; we’ll no longer see life indifferently, but love and enjoy life with the flame of the Holy Spirit.
6 brothers and sisters will publicly confess their faith in Jesus in the Easter Baptismal Service on Easter Sunday, joined the church through baptism. They immerse in water symbolising the death and burial of the old self with the Lord. They emerge from the water to show that the new creation is resurrected with Christ, that the old has gone, the new is here. Another 8 brothers and sisters will join membership with the church. Let’s pray for these14 brothers and sisters. They are our companions on the way to heaven, our co-workers in building God’s household together, our comrades in fighting together, and a family who love each other. “We love because God first loved us.” 1 John 4:8
Oh God! May we die with you, be buried with you, rise with you; may we put on Christ and live a new life!
